Discourse installation

Discourse support is still in development. If discourse.zip appears on the portal, treat it as preview unless the release notes say it is ready for production.

When a build is posted

Typical self-hosted Discourse steps:

1. Add the plugin source under plugins/ in your install or container layout.
2. Rebuild the app (./launcher rebuild app or whatever your host uses).
3. Turn the plugin on under Admin → Plugins and fill in URL and identity fields.
4. The forum can work on the anonymous connection the plugin creates first; use the customer portal only when you want a normal account, Pro features across sites, or help—see Your account & forums.

Check forumfortress.com and the portal downloads. No ZIP means we are not shipping Discourse builds publicly yet.
