Invision Community installation

We ship a .tar package for Invision. Treat it as beta: match the Invision generation you run and test on a copy of your community before you rely on it in production.

What you need

  • Invision Community on a version supported by that tarball (read any notes inside the download if unsure).
  • Permission to install applications or plugins the way Invision documents for your release.
  • Outbound HTTPS to the Forum Fortress API.

What to do

  1. Download the package:
  2. Download for Invision
  3. In AdminCP, install from the uploaded archive using Invision’s normal flow (labels change between versions).
  4. Open the Forum Fortress settings and set your community URL and any API fields shown.
  5. Optionally sign in at the customer portal and link this site to your email if you want dashboard, moderation, or paid plans in one place—details under Your account & forums.

Updates

Grab a fresh invision.tar when the portal shows a newer version or when /v1/plugin-release reports an upgrade.

Beta expectation

Invision will move faster than XenForo for a while—keep a staging community for upgrades.
