Customer portal
The portal is your logged-in home at portal.forumfortress.com. It is not the marketing homepage (forumfortress.com), not the Forum Fortress staff admin (admin.forumfortress.com), and not the raw API hostname (api.forumfortress.com)—think of it as your control room for forums you have connected.
Who uses it
- People who run a forum with Forum Fortress installed and want a normal account: recent decisions, moderation queue, reports, spam/ham feedback, plan and billing (during beta some billing text is still placeholder).
- Pro / multimod customers managing several forums under one email—add each site from here after each forum has the plugin installed.
You do not have to live in the portal for the plugin to work; many sites only open it when they want upgrades or a human-readable history.
Signing in
- Choose sign up or log in on the portal. Magic-link email and password are both common options depending on what we have enabled.
- Your session lasts several days so you are not constantly re-authenticating during a moderation session.
What you will find inside
| Area | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Home / dashboard | Snapshot of connected forums and recent decisions. |
| Moderation | Work synced from your forum’s approval queue (XenForo, phpBB, and others as we ship them): approve, reject, bulk actions, clear challenges. |
| Reports | Moderation and plugin-reported events worth a second look. |
| Contact | Talk to us when something is unclear or broken. |
| Upgrade / billing | Move between Free and Pro, start a trial when offered, read beta notices about payments. |
| Attack mode | Short-term stricter posture when you are under a wave of abuse (when the toggle is available). |
Same app, a few extra URLs
The portal process also serves plugin downloads (/plugin-download/…) and the blocklist checker when you visit check.forumfortress.com. Links from the main site land there on purpose.
Jump from your forum ACP to the right place
When your forum is linked to an account, the plugin can ask the API for a signed portal link so you land on the correct forum without hunting. That uses POST /v1/site/portal behind the scenes (see the API section if you care about the mechanics).
Privacy
You only see forums tied to your login. The portal does not replace your forum’s own admin tools for members—it is for Forum Fortress features only.
